All Dancers obviously love music but there are those who love it so much, they have to go and buy it! Perry Louis is one of those Dancers and so, throughout a dance career spanning some 30 years back to spats, Hundred club, Crackers, Royalty Jaffas, Electric ballroom, Caister, Lacy's, Stage 3, Zero 6, Dingwalls and beyond Perry has amassed a lot of tunes.
Perry's love for the tunes and enthusiasm behind the decks is infectious and standing still or sitting down during one of his sets is just not an option! His idea of a great night is to see everybody getting down, whether they are a connoisseur or just in for the night. Don't be surprised if you see him running from behind the decks to get down on the floor himself.
What started as Perry's red box of goodies supporting the late Lynn Collins has developed into a collection of over 15,000 records and the fact that over a quarter of his albums have been signed by the original artists speaks for itself. Perry Louis has toured as a DJ all over the world, with most venues booking him repeatedly.
He is very respected by the Musicians who created the Music and is always a favourite wherever he goes. Perry has had residencies at The Jazz café, London, Point one 101, Madrid, Hannover, Bergen, Glasgow. Perry Louis has Dj'd for Roy Ayers, James Brown, Norman Connors, Jon Lucien, Lynn Collins, Maceo, Dexter Wansell, Incognito, Gwen McCrea, Leon Thomas and many more artists.
"I try to take my audiences on a journey of no return and I would like to think that I am one of those DJs who don't assume they have to 'educate the punters'. My love for the tunes and enthusiasm behind the decks is infectious and I believe that there's loads of Music out there which simply must be played out loud to the people!"
