Obenewa has touched many with her heartfelt music. She writes about her joys and pains and her amazing performances are full of energy and passion.

Coming from a musical family, Obenewa started playing the piano at the age of four and was exposed to many different styles of music including classical. That eclectic taste continues to be expressed through her soulful music with influences of rock, jazz, latin and reggae.

Her love for songwriting grew even more after she began teaching herself to play the guitar. Having toured and performed with Gabrielle, Raphael Saadiq and Silhouette Brown, Obenewa is performing with her band the Truth Movement and currently working on her first studio album.
